A georgian 18kt yellow gold mounted portrait miniature pendant of a woman, by Thomas Redmond, Circa 1769, with D.S. Lavender retailer's cardboard box.  Artist Thomas Redmond was the son of a clergyman, he was apprenticed to a house painter at Bristol before studing at St. Martin's Lane Academy.  He exhibited at the Society and Free Society of Artists, at the R.A., in Brecon and Bath.  He is known for his miniature portraits.
